Orange County Zoo

The Orange County Zoo, an eight-acre sanctuary within Irvine Regional Park, is surrounded by coastal live oak and giant sycamore trees. Established to showcase flora and fauna native to the southwestern United States, the zoo has become a local favorite for its educational and recreational opportunities.

Home to an array of native wildlife, including black bears, mountain lions, bald eagles, and ocelots, the zoo presents these creatures in naturalistic habitats, enhancing the visitor experience with educational insights. The zoo also boasts a barnyard where visitors can interact with domestic animals like goats, sheep, and pot-bellied pigs. Each exhibit is complemented by informative displays, enriching the learning journey for guests of all ages.
