The Cincinnati Reds were the world’s first professional baseball franchise, but their stadium is relatively new, first opening in 2003. The name isn’t a humblebrag, rather a nod its 30-year sponsor: Great American Insurance. It has spectacular views of the Ohio River that make every pitch that much more enjoyable.
The stadium features a number of unique features including two huge smokestacks in centerfield paying tribute to 19th century steamboats of the nearby Ohio River and views of Cincinnati’s skyline seen through a designed gap in the third base concourse. Fans report loving almost everything about the Great American Ballpark, from the layout and architecture to the food and fun.
