Established in 1897, Irvine Regional Park is Orange County’s oldest regional park, sprawling across 491 acres of rich history and natural beauty. This historic park, once the site of Native American villages and Spanish ranchos, has evolved into a beloved community treasure.

Irvine Regional Park is a haven for nature enthusiasts and families, featuring the Orange County Zoo, a miniature train, pedal boat rentals, and numerous picnic areas set among its ancient oak and sycamore groves. The park’s network of trails invites hiking, biking, and equestrian activities, complemented by playgrounds, a lagoon, and a seasonal stream. Seasonal events, like the pumpkin patch and Christmas train, add a festive charm to its year-round appeal.

The park was once part of the vast Irvine Ranch and still retains elements of its historic past, including the restored Irvine Park Railroad.
