- Day 1: Visit Chapultepec Park, one of the largest city parks in North America and home to some breathtaking sights like the Castillo de Chapultepec (Chapultepec Castle). Enjoy a romantic dinner at Contramar restaurant or have drinks at Jules Basement.
Day 2: Take an evening stroll around La Ciudadela Market before heading over to Plaza Garibaldi for live mariachi music! In between all this sightseeing you’ll also find time for some shopping on elegant Reforma Avenue.
Day 3: Spend your morning walking through Alameda Central park then explore downtown’s magnificent Palacio Bellas Artes before visiting Templo Mayor archaeological site which offers insight into ancient Aztec culture.
Day 4: Head out to Xochimilco neighborhood where you can take a ride in traditional gondolas (trajineras) on its famous canals – so romantic! Later go visit Casa Azul museum dedicated to Frida Kahlo’s life and art.
Day 5 : Discover Coyoacan district – full of great restaurants, galleries and bars – followed by a peaceful walk in Parque Hundido or admire murals painted by Diego Riviera at Anahuacalli Museum .
Day 6 : Explore the historic center starting from Zocalo Square , then marvel at Catedral Metropolitana de la Asunción de María – one of oldest churches in Latin America- followed by National Palace boasting beautiful fresco Murals done by Diego Rivera ! Day 7 : Start your day with breakfast/brunch overlooking views from Torre Latinoamericana building followed later by Teotihuacán Pyramids & Moon Pyramid sites just outside Mexico city! Finally enjoy your last night here tasting Mexican food specialties like enchiladas or tacos al pastor accompanied with local beer or tequila shots .
